Gale force headwinds on the beach this year. I had ridden the Grizzly Peak Century the weekend before, a very bad idea it turned out. I felt fine but had not recovered 100%, half way through the Endless Hills I had a complete flame-out. I was sitting by the side of the road when a sag wagon came by, the people gave me a banana and an energy bar, with this I was finally able to make it to Ferndale.
